Dr. Hema Chodha

Pediatric Dentistry Resident

Born and raised in Vancouver, Dr. Hema Chodha completed her Bachelor of Dental  Surgery (B.D.S.) at James Cook University in Australia. She went on to work as a  general dentist in remote regions of Western Australia, providing essential care to  underserved communities. 

She is currently completing her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the  University of British Columbia where she is pursuing a combined Master of Science  (MSc) in Craniofacial Science and a Diploma in Pediatric Dentistry. Her passion for  working with children began as an early teenager when she volunteered with the  Canucks Autism Network and continued through her involvement with Australia’s  School Dental Service. 

Dr. Chodha is dedicated to making dental visits positive, accessible, and comfortable for every child. She values patient education and is committed to  supporting families in establishing strong oral health habits. 

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new cafés and restaurants, staying active  through CrossFit and workout classes, kicking a soccer ball around, spending time  with her family and friends including her adorable nieces and nephews, often laughing over memes, car karaoke, or TikTok.
